My wife and stayed here for two weeks and we were so thrilled with this hotel. The entire property is gracious and beautifully landscape: at no time did I feel crowded. The quality of the food and drinks was excellent and free-flowing. The hotel makes sure to put on excellent entertainment at nights, so that you can sit outside and enjoy the warm sea breezes at night.
Often, there are vendors in the same plaza selling stuff. Unlike so many other places I've stayed at, they pay attention to the little details and it shows. The entire property is the cleanest I've ever stayed at in twenty years of travelling. They go so far as to move all the furniture out of the restaurants and squeegee the floors on a regular basis.
They are the only resort on the beach that has two guys rake the entire beach in front of the hotel starting at 5am. The hotel workers are out after dark picking up garbage, and we saw managers in the restaurants with temperature probes checking on the food. My only criticisms would be the specialty restaurants and the watersports area. I found the service in all the restaurants to be excellent but some of the food was inconsistent. My favorites were the Mexican, Steak, and Brazillian restaurants, but I would definitely stay away from the French and Mediterranean.

The Brazilian restaurant was great the first time, with juicy, succulent meat, but lousy on the second try with dehydrated and overdone meat. The watersports guys aggragavated me to no end: they are rude, arrogant, and duplicitous. They make promises and then don't deliver on them later.
They used inapporopriate and derrogatory language in front of me because they assumed I couldn't speak any Spanish or French. Kayaking was cancelled during my entire two week stay while other resorts allowed theirs out. I am an experienced kayaker and know that even a rank beginner could handle those kayaks in the prevailing conditions without a problem.
