It was only when my OH put me right that I started noticing them more. Yep, all that makeup wouldn't be very good for lemon picking.
However, where do they go? Now, in Germany, these ladies are often seen at the side of the road but generally have a caravan with them so it's obvious where they go. Not being as supple as I used to be with old age creeping in, not sure I'd like my knees on some of stoney paths they seem to wait by or even get into the back of a car. Do they disappear to some nearby house? Sometimes just see the chair and parasol there so maybe they have got a customer and gone off somewhere a little less conspicuous.
