Andres Hotel is close to the city centre a 15 minutes walk , offering spacious rooms with spacious bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, and decent breakfast. On the downside, the amenities were very scarce, with almost no liquid soap and no cleaning during the 2 nights stay.
Breakfast was decent. The overall felling was good, with some improvements needed on the service side. If you travel by car you can park in front of the hotel or on the street were is a free public parking. The room and bathroom was clean and quite large.
Thebbreakfast very good with local food. The hotel is at about 15min walk from the old town. However there were some unpleasent aspexts as well: The heating was coming from the AC so and unfortunately it was noisy. The staff not too friendly, but unfriendly either. There was no hot water at some point but the staff was very efficient and solved it in less then half an hour. Well positioned hotel in craiova, good for quick stop over if you are not to fussy.
Actually if you are a friend of the wildlife and enjoy the great outdoors you will love this place and this city. A couple of stray dogs around the hotel and a couple of bugs in the room might give you a hint of Live Nat Geo in your room. PS the sheets have been replaced with one of those matters covered for that extra feeling of camp life indoor. If you like to enjoy service like communistic times: book this hotel. The rooms are not clean, behind the bed you find the rubbish of centuries and about the bathroom I do not speak: it is too disgusting.
The breakfast is extremely poor. We had to call 10 minutes for a service person for ordering a coffee. The coffee was delivered after 12!!! If you like to see how the service was in communistic times: look to the lady who will deliver coffee or bring additional bred: no single word, no "good morning", no question what we wish. It is really unbelievable. The length of the bar is 1 meter. The length of the reception 1 meter too.
